About Us
Out Of The Blue is a fundraising body established in memory of Will Beckett who took his own life at Beachy Head in January 2013, at the age of 42. This tragedy came as an incredible shock for his family and friends – it came simply ‘Out Of The Blue’.
In the immediate aftermath of Will’s death, our family was supported, guided and inspired by three charities – Winston’s Wish, Dragonflies and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. CALM was added a couple of years later to highlight suicide prevention and mental health awareness. Out Of The Blue raises money to support these charities so they can help others like us.
Ashburnham Place Run
The Out Of The Blue Race is an unforgettable race that you’ll want to race year after year. It took place this year on Thursday 26th June. These 10k & 5k offerings explore some of the stunning 220 acre estate at Ashburnham Place. The air crackles with race-day energy, you’ll find charity tents to peruse and a mouth-watering BBQ to tuck into. The Junior Run has also gained huge kudos and grows in popularity with every passing year. And, with every twist and turn, you’ll be raising valuable funds for four spectacular charities: Winston’s Wish, Dragonflies, CALM and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team.
